WHEN A DONOR'S GIFT CANNOT BE ACCEPTED

Although most donations are gratefully accepted, there are some limitations on the acceptance of a donation.  A body cannot be accepted if an autopsy has been performed, if the individual had sepsis, extreme obesity, or a highly contagious disease (such as hepatitis, AIDS), or if death was caused by a crushing injury.  If you wish, the eyes may be removed for donation.
