Research Interests
Epidemiology, ecology and control of vector-borne infectious
diseases. Current research projects in Kenya, other
countries in Africa and Latin America Caribbean Region.
At the University of Miami, I am responsible for developing
the Global Public Health Program. This interdisciplinary
program involves faculty throughout the UM system and
emphasizes the development of international disease
