As a part of our mentoring program, a series of dinners is being planned to initiate new students into the program as well as a way to bond, cultivate friendships, share ideas and experiences as a group. To date we have had 3 mentoring dinners.
The first dinner was planned by Adena Rosenblatt, a third year graduate student in the Pharmacology Department. The dinner was held at the Nexxt Café in South Beach on August 12, 2007.
The next dinner was on September 6th, 2007. It was organized by Gillian Reierson a 2nd year Neuroscience student, followed by the Epidemiology dinner on September 19th at Berries Restaurant, Coconut Grove. This was organized by Kathi Brookfield a 4th year Medical student who completed her PhD in Epidemiology.
