FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine supports students in the MD/PhD Program in a number of ways. Accepted students receive a full-tuition scholarship to medical school, a tuition waiver for graduate school, and an annual stipend, $25,000 (effective June 1, 2008), while they are enrolled in full-time graduate studies. In addition, a Dean's Fellowship may be awarded based on the recommendation of the MD/PhD Program Admissions Committee. These extremely competitive awards provide annual stipend support during the four years of medical school.

Scholarship support for all MD/PhD students is contingent upon a satisfactory review of academic progress and completion of the PhD requirements prior to receiving the MD degree. Further information about financial support may be obtained from the MD/PhD Program Director.
