Effects of caspases on mitochondrial function

A postdoctoral position to study the effects of caspases on mitochondrial function is immediately available in the laboratory of Lawrence Boise at The University of Miami School of Medicine. Studies will include the characterization and identification of caspase targets that result in loss of mitochondria function during apoptosis. Biochemical and molecular approaches will be utilized therefore experience in these techniques is preferred. This position is funded by an NIH grant for the next three years. Molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis and angiogenesis activation by the Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus  

An NIH/NCI funded postdoctoral position is available immediately using a new animal and cell model to investigate molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis and angiogenesis activation by the Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV). Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D., good publications in a relevant field, and experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques. Expertise with BAC's, mouse tumors or gene arrays is a plus. Dendritic cell differentiation 

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available to study dendritic cell differentiation at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center/University of Miami. Selected candidates will work on the molecular basis of dendritic cell differentiation, specifically on specific signal transduction pathways and downstream gene regulation. M.D. or Ph.D. in biological sciences is required. Experience in molecular biology or cellular immunology is required. Salary and benefits are competitive. Faculty Positions

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for investigators with research interests in Immunology - particularly in the areas of tolerance or mucosal immunity. Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree, three to five years of postdoctoral training, a commitment to establish an externally-funded independent research program, or a funded independent research program as well as a willingness to contribute to the Department’s teaching efforts. All applicants who wish to be considered at the Associate Professor level should have an established funded research program. A competitive start-up package including research funds and salary support will be provided to appointees.
