Department of Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology

The Department of Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology offers a Ph.D Program and participates in joint medical school programs including the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program and the MD/PhD Program. The basic intent of these programs is to train students in the theory and practice of biological research and to equip them to carry out original research projects in academic, industrial or government environments. We also give our students the academic background to permit them to embark on a career of teaching in pharmacological disciplines. The Department at the University of Miami has a well-established, internationally recognized record of graduate training.Students' tuition is paid by the Program and they receive annual stipends throughout their graduate study leading to a Ph.D in Pharmacology.
