Faculty-Supervised Research Opportunities
All Neuroscience majors are encouraged to get involved in neuroscience research
by volunteering to work in one of the faculty-supervised neuroscience labs around
the university. This is an important part of your experience here at UM. As
a volunteer research assistant you will be introduced to timely scientific research
topics, exposed to state-of-the-art research methods, and will conduct “hands
on” scientific experiments in one of the 68 neuroscience laboratories
in 11 departments on three campuses (Coral
Gables, Medical School, Marine
School). This is also a great way to get to know some of the neuroscience
faculty around the university. So, if you are interested, call (305-284-5507)
or email (pmccabe@miami.edu) Dr. McCabe
to set up an appointment, and he will contact neuroscience faculty on your behalf
to set up a research experience.
