The JEOL 100CX provides magnification from 100x to 250,000x and a resolution of 0.2nm. It is capable of accelerating voltages from 20-100kV, but operates at 80kV for most biological purposes. You can observe your specimen on the screen, or capture images on 3.25 x 4" film. The camera holds 50 sheets of film, and micrographs are printed with magnifications and sequential identification numbers. Negatives can be processed in the darkroom or scanned for digital storage and manipulation on your own.
